Perfect crispy Air

Amber leaves, crisp breezes and ripe red apples.  Pumpkins sit about waiting to be sliced and diced into glowing ghouls with goofy smiles or smooshed into crust with love all mixed in.  Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year when the landscape seems like a painted canvas.  Breath deep, make a great big pile of leaves and jump on in to the amazing beauty of this season.

Lovely Twinkling

Over a tall glass of home made sweet tea the other day, I was watching my ssons play in the backyard with humongously bursting smiles and thought back to when I was a kid and how amazing summer is.  From fire flies to thunderstorms, summer has always been a dreamy time of year.  The birds were singing and the sun was setting and I thought how beautiful life is.

One scoops or two?

I was asked today why I like photography so much and I thought for a minute.  What is the easiest way to explain my passion to a 7 year old?  So I said "imagine it's the hottest day of summer and the sun feels like it's sitting right on top of your cute little head and the ice cream man drives up and tells you that you can have as much of your favorite ice cream as you want to cool down on this sizzling day. What would you choose?"  He said "definitely vanilla ice cream".  And then I said, "wouldn't that be the BEST ice cream ever?!?!"  And he said “yeah” with a huge smile on his face and then I said "well photography is my vanilla ice cream."  He paused for a moment and then he said "I like photography".

With such a rainy day yesterday, I couldn't help but think about some things that make me feel all happy inside...  like little fingers and tiny toes.  Oh and you can't forget smiley sandy elbows. 

Winter Sunshine

The warm sun is shining, floating on a beautiful breeze, but let’s not forget it is winter. A lot of people are still bundling up as they travel outside and the tips of their noses are the same temperature as an ice cream cone. I am very fortunate to live in Florida and even though there are times that snow is missed, it’s this time of year when the grass starts to turn back to beautiful shades of green and the snap dragons bloom magnificent yellows, reds and oranges that I feel so lucky.  For everyone else who still sees so much white, here are some photos to warm you up a little bit…. Stay cozy my friends. As Phil the groundhog said, spring is just around the corner! Sending sunshine state warmth to you all!
